Is this a sign of repentance for the sins of her father and her clan -- most notably the so called drug war which removed the competition and supposedly had Duterte's lackeys controlling the trade?

Is this a pre-emptive strike on the impeachment cases? Or did she know that a Loyalist-Pink/Yellow coalition is coming to fruition?
After three days, Feb 21 2026, Pres BBM visited Mayor Leni in Naga to inspect the Oplan Kontra Baha project
This meeting is symbolic!
First, the BBM government is saddled with the flood control scandal -- most of which are projects from the Duterte administration. By joining in Leni's own flood control project, he is trying to cleanse the stench of corruption. The opposition has no corruption issues.
Second, by wearing pink socks, he is giving a not-so-subtle message that he will be supporting the Kakampinks/true opposition in 2028 . Where the brash Sara proclaimed openly her intention to run, BBM said his visit was not political but the visual message and the timing is there. After Sarah announced, BBM visited Leni. Whether Leni takes the cudgels or not, there should only be one candidate from the true opposition.
This will get more exciting as we get closed to 2028!
